Acmena smithii – ‘Minnipilly’ – Lilly Pilly – shrub, native
A small bushy form of Acmena smithii. It has striking new colourful tips and responds well to regular pruning and feeding. Fleshy pink berries follow cream fluffy flowers. The berries are edible and are good for making jam. Attracts bees and nectar feeding birds.
Uses: a great plant for hedging and borders or as a tub or patio specimen.

Flowering: cream flowers, summer followed by fleshy edible purple berries

MAINTENANCE
Maintenance: tolerates light frost, fast growing; responds well to pruning. Can be pruned down to a half metre low hedge as a tough native alternative to box hedging.
