A medium to large evergreen tree with a spreading canopy, native to Eastern Australia. It produces profuse clusters of creamy white flowers through mid-spring and summer which attracts birds and bees. Each year, it sheds its bark which is a brown/grey colour that is fibrous and fissured.
A drought-tolerant tree once established and can handle high wind, first line salt wind and light frost.
Uses: Street or park tree, native garden, feature tree, ornamental, shade and shelter.
