Pretty shrub for garden situations, small greenish flowers and pinkish/red berries which turn black with age and attract birds. Host to Common Grass Yellow & Large Grass-yellow butterfly. Good understorey plant. The species tolerates wide variety of environments
Uses: Hedging, undercover. It is a useful foliage plant for any sized garden and could be used as a hedge.

Flowering: Small, green flowers are produced in spring and summer, and these are followed by orange or pink berries that turn black when fully ripe.
