Eucalyptus camaldulensis – River Red Gum
Eucalyptus camaldulensis is a common and widespread tree most commonly found along stream banks and rivers or in flood plains over much of mainland Australia.
They grow very tall with most trees exhibiting a stripy bark revealing pale grey, charcoal and occasionally pink colourings which is the key feature of this widespread and adaptable tree.
Uses: feature tree in large spaces such as parks but can drop branches unexpectedly. Useful tree for stabilising river banks, erosion control and windbreak.
