Grevillea ‘Canberra Gem’ –  native shrub  

Medium sized, evergreen fast growing native shrub with dense rounded growth habit, spiky narrow leaf foliage and an abundance of small pink to red spider-like flowers during spring.

Uses: ideal for garden beds, shrubberies.

 

Dimensions: H  up to 3m | W 3.5m
Flowering: pinkish red spider flowers mainly in Spring.
Aspect: Full sun to light shade. It will handle up to 50% shade. Coastal aspects – best protected. Pennisetum is best planted in mulched gardens with watering during hot dry summers. Cold tolerant
Soil type: Loam, clay loam and free draining light clay.
 Maintenance: responds well to pruning – remove around one third of plant to maintain a compact shape. Mulch and water well in dry conditions.
