Callistemon ‘Kings Park Special’ –  Bottlebrush – native shrub

A relatively compact, free-flowering bottlebrush with bright red flower heads that are very attractive to nectar loving birds. One of the best bottlebrushes ever, very hardy and fast growing for a range of soil types and positions. A good feature or screen plant, it can be pruned to shape or allowed to grow naturally into a small tree. If needed, it can be cut back very hard and will generally reshoot form the numerous dormant buds in the trunk. It has attractive furrowed bark.

Uses: street tree, erosion control, bird nesting plant, pollution tolerant.
