With their lovely, soft scented blooms appearing from late spring to early summer, and their soft creamy white colour, is it any wonder that Gardenias (Gardenia spp.) have become firm favourites with Australian gardeners. There are many different perennial varieties available from ground covers to standards, or the well sized bushes that can be turned into loose hedges. There is a Gardenia out there for every garden type.
Uses: Ideal for hedges, massed planting or as a single specimen.

Flowering: They flower at their best in the warmer months of the year usually from November to May with extremely fragrant double white blooms with glossy green foliage.

Maintenance: Low Maintenance, Mulch and water well, prune after flowering . Plant in a soil which is medium to acidic for best results. Feed with a fertiliser for acid-loving plants every 2-3 months. Water regularly with seaweed solution. Spray with Eco-Oil to kill aphids, scale, and other pests.
